The formation of the first Times Higher Education-QS World University ranking was credited in Ben Wildavsky's paperback, The Great Brain Race: How worldwide Universities are Reshaping the World,[11] to then-editorial manager of Times Higher Education, John O'Leary. Times Higher Education decided to band together with instructive and vocations exhortation organization QS to supply the information. After the 2009 rankings, Times Higher Education enjoyed the choice to reprieve from QS and consented to an arrangement with Thomson Reuters to give the information to its yearly World University Rankings from 2010 onwards. The production built up another rankings procedure in counsel with its perusers, its article board and Thomson Reuters. Thomson Reuters will gather and investigate the information used to create the rankings for Times Higher Education. The principal positioning was distributed in September 2010.
